M3 - Globular Cluster

M3 Cluster Another Globular Cluster, shot low in the sky Magnitude: 7.0 Location: Canes Venatici (Hunting Dogs) Date: Sept 19/04 Exposures: 43 best of 45 Exposure length: 4 seconds Amp on setting: OFF Brightness: 100 Gain: 50 Notes: First try at M3. Focus was a little out, and polar alignment was significantly off, as 4-second exposures show drift. Exposure time seems like a good starting point, but 3x the number of frames would probably bring out more low magnitude stars.
