M60 - A galaxy in the Virgo Cluster

M60 - NGC 4649 Magnitude: 6.0 Size: 11.0' x 11.0' Location: Virgo Date: May 27/06 Exposures: 60 Exposure length: 20 seconds Amp on setting: OFF Brightness: 67 Gain: 51 Gamma: 0 K3 Brightness Level Meter: not noted Filters: Orion Skyglow Filter Magnification: No Barlows/Reducers Notes: Gamma set too low - should be increased to 50%. At first glance, this looks like a dim globular cluster. But the hazy image shows that it's actually a distant galaxy.
