Stephan's Quintet - Interacting galaxy group 4 of 5 galaxies captured in this shot. These are the "talking galaxy angels" featured in the movie "It's a Wonderful Life". Magnitude: 13.6-14.8 Location: Pegasus Date: Oct 7/04 Exposures: 16 Exposure length: 30 seconds Amp on setting: OFF Brightness: 100 Gain: 40 Processing: Acquired, aligned, stacked, histogram adjusted in K3CCDtools, noise reduction in NeatImage Notes: This is a deep shot (345M light years). The dark frame subtraction was an issue. I want to try this again with a skyglow filter, longer exposure and more frames to see if more detail can be captured.
