C33 - My first Caldwell Object!
Imaged with an ORION Skyglow filter.

Date: Sept 2/04
Exposures: 19 best of 41
Exposure length: 30 seconds
Amp on setting: OFF
Brightness: 90
Gain: 50
Notes: I used an Orion Skyglow filter on this because I had great difficulty in spotting the nebula with the naked eye, and could only see it visually with the filter in the optical path. As it turned out, it worked well to capture the red without the skyglow (the moon was 84% illuminated). I was very pleased with the "tufts" of nebulosity.

Notes: Added more frames and tweaked contrast, after seeing this one on a CRT. This taught me a valuable lesson - what you see on an LCD monitor is NOT what you get! The gamma is way off. I found it's better to process on a CRT, which will look good on both.
