NGC 5907 An "edge-on" galaxy in Draco Magnitude: 11.3 Location: Draco Date: Oct 12/04 Exposures: 26 Exposure length: 45 seconds Amp on setting: OFF Brightness: 100 Gain: 25 Processing: Aquired, stacked, and histogram adjusted in K3CCDtools, noise reduction in NeatImage. Notes: Amp glow is evident at the upper left, as is some periodic error (next time, I'll have to use higher gain). Otherwise, this is a reasonable shot of this edge-on galaxy. Note that part of the core is obscured by dark dust lanes.
