NGC 6503 Galaxy Quest in Draco! Magnitude: 10.2 Location: Draco Date: Oct 1/04 Exposures: 23 Exposure length: 30 seconds Amp on setting: OFF Brightness: 100 Gain: 40 Processing: Acquired, stacked, histogram adjusted in K3CCDtools, noise reduction in NeatImage, color adjusted in Photoshop. Notes: Some drift is evident in this shot, due to shifted polar alignment. The bright object to the left is a magnitude 8 star (significantly overexposed at 30 seconds). Some amp glow is evident - I'll have to increase overall image level for proper dark frame subtraction (I've concluded that the dark frame should have ALL pixels at a non-zero value).
